LIFEBREAK Understand - Advance - Strengthen

Today is for New Beginnings, Trying Something New, and Taking A Lifebreak.
Today we begin a journey that I hope you will join me on during the next few months.

"Opportunity is missed by most because
it is dressed in overalls and looks like work" ~ Thomas A. Edison

Today I begin my Lifebreak - well it actually started December 31st... and it's not my first... but we'll get to that.

We've all been there/here at some point in our lives. We've all searched for answers - someone to relate to - someone that will honestly share what to expect, how to process and how to stay sane through it all.

Lifebreaks have been intentional and unexpected. What is the difference?
Intentional Lifebreak: I chose to move to new cities, take risks with new jobs, leave relationships and take actions to advance my career or find the things that make me happy.
Unexpected Lifebreak: Death, Job loss, Accidents, and/or Illness - just to name a few.
Intentional or Unexpected - Each results in some type of Lifebreak.
Our job is to Understand it, Advance from what we find and Strengthen to move forward.

My goal through this blog is share not only my story but also resources, a new perspective and recommendations that helped me through so many transitions.

I have lead a professional life with a core foundation in service and hope those that know me in my personal relationships would say it is reflected there as well.

But this blog, this time, my story, will be shared to help you through those Lifebreaks that only you may know. You may be needing positive influence, perspective, or virtual support. You may want someone else that can relate and can help move you forward.

My vision is to share my stories so that others won't feel as alone as I did through so many of my Lifebreaks - even with amazing, generous, and loving family/friends in my life - unless you are in it or have been there too, you don't truly understand. I won't claim to relate to everyone's challenges and changes but I believe I can share some information that will be helpful as you share this time with me.

Here are a few examples of what I plan to write about...
Death: More than I know I will share - THE FOUR changed my life forever, Miscarriage-it's not pleasant dinner conversation, Four-legged family
Career: Teacher & Student, Learning Through Service and How to Manage The Difficult Times
Home: A Complete Gut, New One, and The Face Lift
Kids: What would I do with a GIRL?! If you can stand some bodily function conversations, we'll be great together!
Illness: One word: Dementia - Thanks to my husband's suggestion, I was motivated to start this blog. Fact: "The only one in the Top 10 without a cure, a way to prevent it, or even a way to delay or slow it down." - Alzheimer's Association #stillalice #endalz

So for tonight - Welcome, I am glad you found me!. But let's be clear - I AM NOT; 1) a Professional Writer (you will find flaws and hopefully they will bring you a smile - Google funny autocorrect texts - you may see some of that here); 2) a Certified Counselor, Licensed Therapist or PhD (but I believe in them and encourage you to explore the services local to you. I have a Masters - but I don't think that counts here). This blog will give you perspective from a gal that has been there, Understands many aspects, Advanced through the process and has been Strengthened by the experience. These are my stories and some may be formal, some sad and some sarcastic - but from each experience, I hope you will gain some of your own Understanding to help you Advance and Strengthen yourself and your future.

Intrigued? Great - Thank you for your time and I look forward to 'seeing' you here again.
I am working on my website to share resources and daily content in the coming weeks.
All the best, Tina
